Travel idea to customize

Day 1: Arrival in Johannesburg

Arrival at Johannesburg airport, meeting with the Italian guide for a quick briefing on your itinerary. Transfer to the hotel where a welcome cocktail will be offered. You will discover a typical Ndebele village with its local craft market, colourful murals and see an informative documentary on the history and customs of these people. In the afternoon guided tour of the 5 typical farms: Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho, Ndebele and Pedi. After the refreshment at the bar (drinks not included), you can watch a traditional Giant Ingoma dance. The dances will end around a crackling bonfire. Typical dinner at the Nyama Choma restaurant where you can taste the different African specialities.

Day 2: From Johannesburg to Limpopo Province

After breakfast and check out, departure through the province of Limpopo towards the Karongwe Private Game Reserve, located on the banks of the Makhutswi River. Arrival in time for lunch and in the afternoon now awaits the first photo safari to meet the famous BIG 5.

Day 3: Karongwe Game Reserve

Full day dedicated to discovering the surrounding nature and the activities of the lodge.

Don’t miss the early morning and afternoon safaris, where you’ll have the chance to watch the South African sunset!

Day 4: Mpumalanga to Panorama Route

After the sunrise safari, breakfast at the lodge and departure for the visit of the famous Panorama Route (the visit includes Bourke’s Luck Potholes, The Three Rondavels, visit of Pilgrim Reste Gods Window (weather conditions allowing you to admire a unique panorama). Included Accommodation at Stille Woning or Pine Lake Inn subject to availability

Day 5: From Mpumalanga and Johannesburg to Cape Town

Breakfast and transfer to Johannesburg airport. Lunch during the trip (not included). Boarding on a direct flight to Cape Town. Arrival at Cape Town airport and meeting with the Italian guide. Transfer to the hotel with an orientation visit to the city during the journey. Afternoon free for your relaxation. Relax after your trip or head to the famous Waterfront, home to many shops, restaurants and more.

Day 6: Cape Town

After breakfast, departure for the full-day excursion to the Cape Peninsula. Walking along Chapman’s Peak (if open) you will reach Hout Bay for a short cruise to the island of Duiker (subject to weather conditions). Continue to the Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, Boulders Beach and stop for lunch at False Bay. Weather permitting stop at the Kirstenbosch botanical gardens. Return to Cape Town.

Day 7: Cape Town

Full day free for optional activities.

Day 8: Oudtshoorn

Start of the tour along the Garden Route with your Italian guide, starting from Cape Town and ending in Port Elizabeth.

After checking out from your hotel in Cape Town, departure for Oudtshoorn, a town considered the world capital of ostrich farms and famous for its spectacular Cango Caves caves. Lunch during the trip and visit one of the many ostrich farms in the area.

Day 9: From Garden Route to Knysna

After breakfast, visit the famous Cango Caves caves. Continue on through Outeniqua Pass to George, the sixth oldest city in South Africa. The tour continues towards Knysna, known in South Africa for its excellent oysters and its huge lagoon. Before lunch (excluded) visit Knysna Elephant Park to admire these huge mammals up close and learn more about their habits. In the afternoon boat trip on the Knysna lagoon and visit to the Featherbed Nature Reserve.

Day 10: Garden Route

After breakfast and check out, we head towards Plettenberg Bay to get to the Monkeyland monkey sanctuary which houses about 550 monkeys, including capuchin monkeys, black and white lemurs, saki monkeys, squirrel monkeys, vervet monkeys, 2 species of langur, howler monkeys, gibbons, etc … Then we will visit the Birds of Eden aviary which is one of the largest aviaries in the world built to guard and protect various species of African birds. Our journey continues through the Bloukrans Bridge, the highest arch bridge in the world on which currently the world’s highest Bungy Jumping to visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and the Storms River Mouth estuary (weather permitting).
